Default Who remembers the car and the guy?

The car has been out of circulation for a while, but it was a great FB starter.

Woody sent me a note asking if I remember Radrog

Oh man, Radrog... those were some entertaining posts as I recall. IIRC he had a kid that was bound for glory? Did he get banned from the forum Bill or was that a self-excommunication?

The guy's name was Roger Busby from Michigan. He worked at GM, I think, possibly as an engineer. There were a lot of tall tales and crazy statements, and a daughter going to be the next F1 superstar or something. It was a very bizarre event with a lot of strange drama, and I don't remember what the actual breaking point was that got him banned from ApexSpeed.

Seems like a rather cheap FB, no? Nice photo, too.

Is it a one-off chassis? Or conversion?

    Conversion.

This was the Novak Van Diemen conversion prototype.

    Doug,

This was were you applied the "Tachy goes to Coventry" software. Worked quite effectively.

I think this was Tyler Thielmann's old car. Very fast in it's day.

This was our old car, It was in good shape when we sold it but I have no idea what shape it is in now. It was the original Novak conversion so it was on the heavy side. We added the updated nose and rear cowel. This car could run hot on certain days and we were told the side pods should be widened and the duct-work adjusted to alleviate the issue. Other than that I don't know much about it anymore.

The buyer used to text me constantly sometimes at strange hours talking about how fast he is in the car so I cut any ties and stopped replying to him.

I think if someone had the time to develop the car it could be competitive with the fastest cars. (Jeremy has proved that!)

Does anyone have a link to some of the more entertaining threads? This off season is getting boring in the snowbelt.

I could be wrong, but I think his posts went away when he was removed from the forum. Some quotes may still exist in other people's posts.

    David,
The "Tacky goes to Coventry" software is basically a global ignore.
The "target" posts, but only the original poster can see it.
Nobody replies to his posts, the target get bored and goes away on his own.
So, all the posts are still there, it's just that nobody but RadRog can see them.
If still curious, search Tacky goes to Coventry.
    Lots of info out there.
It originally comes from a British phrase to "Send someone to Coventry"

No curiosity on my part, just responding to TDI PILOT's request for a link to some of the more entertaining threads. For his purposes (and mine), RadRog's posts went away.

    Default Radrog

I ended up with the car this past weekend. It's never seen any track time since Tyler sold it. I plan to completely go through it and run it next season.
