    Default BSCI foam seat

Looking to pour a seat this winter using the BSCI products. Was wondering if anyone has experience with this?

One question is what size kit should be used on FM? Current seat is a bead seat, and I have been guessing on the cubic footage necessary.

Any insight or suggestions are welcome.

    Steve,
Do a search on here and on google. Much has been written and many you tube videos made.

Maybe you could put your current seat in a bath tub and measure the rise of the water.

If you're happy with your current seat's shape, it almost sounds like BSCI can duplicate it with their material:

Yep, did all those searches and have watched numerous videos, but not much applying to this vendor, and nothing dealing with kit size. Thanks

I am 6' 1 1/2" and for my F1000 I got the XL kit. It includes a 20" x 40" foam sheet for the back and bottom pieces (not sure what the size is of the sheet in the L kit).

I'd recommend the XL kit for your FM unless you're under 5' 11". As a rule it's better to order it too large than too small, as you can trim any excess.

Note that the kits include everything but the can of 3M77 Spray Adhesive.

Thanks for the input. I was feeling that might be the size i would need.

I haven't personally made a seat with their material, but I did go to their facility in Mooresville and was present when a seat was poured for a vintage F1 car early this season. The material looks to be pretty easy to deal with. It is an expanding foam so you need a helper or two. As I recall it sets up within about 10 minutes and remains pretty flexible which should aid in removal unlike the old two part foam seats and bead seats. They simply trimmed the excess with a knife and shaped the seat with a hand held sander. They do digitize seats and CNC machine those, but they are quite expensive. Although I have a bead seat I am thinking about making on e of these this winter.
