The weather, as of today, is looking pretty good, so hopefully some of you will head to this great track and have some fun.
I'm looking forward to seeing you and sharing in some good beverages and listening to Mike Rand's lies...errr...I mean tales.

More beverages= more lies, er, tales.....
Big field with 47 total entries. Just found out that Ray Boyer cannot make it because of work getting in the way. Looking forward to this.

I have about 5 friends that want to be on someone's crew so they can spectate and camp for free. Anyone have room?
I was planning on being there until I found a crack in my gearbox case when I was doing a gear change for The Glen
Have fun everyone!

Hi Max,
I have room for three. Just send me the names (joemffracer@comcast.net). I think Mike might have some room as well.

Max,
I would be happy to add names to my crew, #37 CF, pay attention to limited registration hours.
Send me the names you need listed.

If I get my cylinder head back I will be there.
In Singapore for work...so will not make it. Work permitting, I may venture down to see F1 qualifying Saturday. Hope you guys have great weather and safe racing.
Dave
I wish I could be there but my clients seem to think rebuilding Texas and Florida are more important then racing. They just don't get it.

The weather was superb, the track near perfect, the camaraderie excellent.
Small group of fords, but everyone was having a great time.

The weather could not have been better and the racing was Great! Thanks to everyone
Lets start talking about the next Right Coast race at Road Atlanta!
What is a typical hi temperature expected at RA in early November? Trying to figure out if I want to work on the new radiator before then, or keep that for the winter
Steve,
Having done only one ARRC my experience is far from conclusive, but I did run the Runoffs at Rd Atlanta almost every year between 1970 and 1980, so there is that, and most times the Runoffs were weeks later, actually spanning Thanksgiving weekend most of that decade.
Now back to weather.
In 2016 it was warmer than the Glen was last weekend !
Which as you know was low to mid 80's all weekend.
Summer in November, though no doubt Road Atlanta summer days start at low 80's and go up rapidly from there.
Back to the previously mentioned decade, I think it was 1972, the FB race ran in a cold [literally 33-34 degrees] monsoon.
Those of us with front radiatored cars were victims of carburetor icing !
I pitted just over halfway through and Kenny Duclos, who had retired previously, said stay in the car. I looked in the right hand mirror to see Kenny with a long screwdriver chipping ice from the carb throats !
You read about venturi effect carb icing on airplanes back in the day, well that was what was going on.
Other Runoffs were held in quite nice and pleasant weather conditions.
So, Steve, anything is possible.
Local FF guys Brooks and Baggett regaled me with tales of a recent edition where it never stopped raining for three days [and presumably nights for those curious...].
