Default Advice on E3500 7.3 diesel towcar??

I am contemplating one for towing my 7x16 formula car trailer. Mostly flatlands. Would this be way too much overkill??
    Thanks for your advice!

My Silverado 1500 double cab doesn't even know my FC is behind me when I tow it on my 16x7 open trailer.

I definitely wish it were a 2500 when I tow my other trailer, the 24 footer with two cars and all the gear.

My opinion - yes, the 3500HD is WAY overkill for that. But, you should still buy one, because they're awesome trucks.

No such thing as overkill. Just call it better longevity. Or safer, room to grow, dont have to buy it twice, ect, ect...

In my opinion, the Ford 7.3 is the best diesel engine ever. I have one in my Excursion that is now 17 years old. The damn thing just runs. You can upgrade it nicely with a TON of aftermarket stuff. Great engine. Go for it.

    Default 7.3

Tony Wildman's chip really woke up my 7.3. A DIY intake is super easy as well.

What XMAZDA said: never can have too much tow vehicle.
