Default Round 1 of Ontario Toyo tires F1600 presented by Fel drives

The first race weekend of the season had tons of close racing. large F1600 grid (our own run group as always) ranging from brand new Mygales and Pipers to Hawk DL2's. The Canadian May weather ranged from sun and highs of 70 to rain, hail and heavy winds luckily all 3 of are races were dry.

4 weeks till the VARC Gp at Mosport register before the end of the month and save some $$!

    video- thanks Keith!

Good size field, and nice to see a 23 year old car at the pointy end of the grid :-)

    Great racing on the video!

Looks to me like guard rails have been moved WAY back from the track from the early 90's! Turn 1 guard rail I remember was only foot or 2 off the exit of turn 1! And in FF was eye level, kinda got your attention! Love all that pavement on outside of turn 2.

Great FF racing up there is Canada!

to each their own, but the paving of the outside of turn 2 neutered one of the worlds pure race-track-defining corners

back in the day it set the cliche "separating the men from the boys"

Every ture!!! This was my first ever race weekend, I never had fears in 1, two is very challaging but is safe and can carry alot of risk. Back in the old days I would have never progessed at the same rapid pace, because of the fear of crashing!
