    Default ignition fuse keeps blowing

    Hi Folks,
Just finishing a clean up on an 83 Reynard with an 05/6 GSXR 1000....as I go through the wiring harness to look for possible problems, are there any particular issues associated with these bikes that may be causing this? Seems to be a common problem on the bike forums. Any suggestions appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Seann

    Default fuse

Look at the 2 main wires that go to the ignition switch....they are probably being shorted to ground (chassis) somewhere. pay close attention to anything that moves and has wires near it (shifter cables, suspension pieces, or penetrations through bulkheads) this can chafe the insulation off the wires.

    Default

Recommend be careful... that's a fire hazard. Do NOT put a larger capacity fuse in it!!!

    Default Found it....

Thanks all, going through the wiring I found the supply/ground to the water pump melted together. Ready for first test drive...
