    Default 6x13 Offset Needed

A buddy of mine just completed his VW FV build and he would like to start running some 6x13 rims at the local autocross events. He plans to upgrade to disks eventually. But, He's wondering what offset to use that will clear the calipers most everyone is using on their FFst cars. I think his plan is to order some custom-made steel rims so he can run the drums with the 4x130 bolt pattern until he can afford to upgrade brakes.

Your car has a number of interesting features that shows you are thinking outside the box. Keep up the good work.

Hello rgu, the car belongs to a buddy of mine. He was road racing FV and FF back in the 70s and 80s and decided to build another car to autocross/TT. He has built the car from scratch within the current rules for FV. He designed the car on paper and came up with the front rocker suspension and zero roll for back end. When he can afford it he will upgrade to disc brakes and 13' rims/slicks.

He stuck an old engine in it and didnt realize that it had a high volume pump without a deep sump so the first autocross day two weeks ago engine seized but did not suffer any serious damage. He's already rebuilt the engine and will have it out again this weekend.

    Thanks,
    JP
