    Default 38 DGA jetting

I'm thinking of fitting a synchronous opening 38 DGV carb to my Pinto powered Van Diemen.

It is currently running a 32/36 DGV with synchronous opening.

The jetting is 185 Main with 160 AC on the primary (small) side and, oddly, a 140 Main with 160 AC on the secondary (bigger) side.

Both throats have F-50 emulsion tubes.

Any ideas on what jetting to use with the 38 DGA carb, also with synchronous opening.

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reference and response.

I'm at 160 mains and bottom end is rich. Cleans out and strong top end.
interesting, one air corrector is about 0.013" taller than the other. Measured and the carb machined that way.
Cyls # 2 and 3 richer than 1 and 4. More experimentation to come.

    Default Change in GCR

Is the 38 approved for use? I just looked in the September GCR and I don't see it listed as an alternative to the 36/38 only the Holley 5200. Thanks

    Default 38/38

Yes. Page 238 of the Sept 2019 GCR.

Section 15k. “The Holly 5200 32/36 or Weber 38DGES (27mm venturis) carburetor may also be used.”

    Default FC only

Note - only legal for the FC, FF is still restricted to 32/26
