    Default RF93 roll hoops

On top of my VD RF93's front roll hoop is a welded-on curved plate of steel, I guess you could call it a roll-over skid plate. Is that a factory piece? What would it take to keep from upsetting the SCCA Screwteneers to add a similar plate to the main hoop?

I believe it's standard. Appears on my 94 and has the sn stamped into it.....
Convenient place for the IR receiver....

What would the purpose be on the main?

Same purpose as the front hoop's, whatever that is...

Even with my pedals and butt as far forward as I can get, with my long-waisted body I'm right up against the broomstick test. Just thinking an extra plate on the main hoop would give me a little extra room as well as some extra protection in the case of an inverted slide.
I know we can't double-hoop the main, and I had my old Crossle re-hooped for some extra head room, but the RF93 chassis makes that task virtually impossible.

I love the post-2000 RFs with the bolt-on tall boy main hoop option, wish I had that option.

my 94 has a skid on the main hoop factory.

it's all braised. except for the cost it can be cut, sweated off, and extended.

Archie, Wayne, or Victor could do it

Of the cap on top or an extended bar?

Bill Modisette had two '96s with extended bars and a lot of cool Pat Prince suspension stuff. I believe the guys up in the pacific NW got them.
