    Is the layshaft 1" ? Also the selector finger shaft looks curved in the pic. Is the shaft straight or just a distortion in the pic?

    The layshaft is 1". I think this may be a 5 speed? Splined portion is 5" long, total length is 10.25". Selector finger is straight despite photo. Sorry I'm not certain of some of the parts. This is a garage sale of a friend that just died of ALS.
