Default [Hockey Puck Replacement] Which Urethane do I Use?

    Hi All,

I've read several times that one source for replacement urethane in the suspension units is McMaster-Carr but I'm having a hard time pinning it down for some reason. Mine are old, old, old and need redoing. I would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me exactly which grade they would recommend. All I've found so far are these: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-p...heets/=166n9vr

Am I on the right track? Other suppliers? Better material suggestions?

    Thanks very much!

I am guessing that one of these may be what you are looking for.

I've ordered mine from mcmaster. I'm by no means an expert at the suspension on these cars but here's whats kept my car off the ground.

If you have a KBS style canister with the cones i used softer natural rubber sheet: https://www.mcmaster.com/mv1484947162/#catalog/8789K82

i also have some shocks that are more like jay's with just the 2 flat plates that i've used a harder polyurethane sheet: https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-r...heets/=166pdsa

I dont remember the exact durometers, but i think it would probably depend on the person and the car.

I found it easier to buy 1" thick flat sheet and cut circles out of it with a hole saw than use a rod and cut it into slices because I found it hard to cut the rubber perfectly straight and parallel and drill the hole dead center. Also, there seemed to be more options with sheet than cylinders.
