NJMP - Hard Charger Award
With the busy fall schedule for the Royale Formula Ford Challenge Series, – Lime Rock, NJMP - Lightning, Watkins Glen and Dominion all since Labor Day - we've been remiss in announcing the winner(s) of the Stonebridge Cryoscience Hard Charger award.
Contested September 16 through 18 at the NJMP Lightning track, the field was strong as usual with 23 racers. Several people were in the running for this award, improving both their finishing position and their time from the first Friday race to the Saturday feature race, but one person stands out. Using a motor best destined to help create an artificial reef off the New Jersey coast and with the pace of a worn-out Formula Vee down the straightaway, he drive the wheels off his '76 Tiga everywhere else. We congratulate Graham Long on winning a $100 gift certificate from Stonebridge Cryoscience (good for cryo treatment or REM Isotropic Super Finishing) for his efforts.
