It is a shame that Watkins Glen is off the schedule and that Road America is not on it.

Will there be a description of how the class structure is changing? I saw the article on the front page of the web site, but it doesn't really explain what is changing other than entry fees.

Watkins Glen has become so expensive that it is very hard to justify trying to go there anymore. If we could have worked it out we most certainly would have.

Road America is another track that is very difficult to get time on. It is effectively rented in some fashion every day from snowfall to snowfall.

I think the average competitor doesn't understand how difficult it is to put a schedule together. It's much more than simply calling the track and getting a date; it's trying to get dates that mesh with other dates so you don't have back to back events, all the while every other organization is trying to do the same thing, and that includes many more than racing organizations- car clubs, track day groups, PDX, HPDE, etc. all vying for a limited number of days.

    And there's much more involved.

Honestly I think it is a very nice schedule and appreciate the issues that are surely involved in getting the moon and stars to align. Sure, there are lots of things on the wish list such as WGI and RA but this is pretty good. Now we just need to work on getting some alignment between Club and Pro as if we are not careful SCCA will soon be a fender only program which is not good for anyone.
