    Default Pinto aluminum head issues

I'm about to get my first pro engine re-build in several years. Was checking around at all the usual shops and one guy wouldn't touch my engine, claiming that the aluminum head has issues with the exhaust ports cracking. didn't want to take the risk of putting all that time in the motor to have it have a problem on the dyno.

Has anyone else heard of this problem or experienced it?

Yep, don't know anyone who has stayed with the Pinto ally head. Everyone went back to cast iron because of problems.

    Default Aluminium Pinto heads

I've heard the same concerns regarding the Aluminum heads.

I do have an original (new) never used cast iron head if you need to go that way.

Thanks but I have a decent CI head. The HP gain from the Aluminum head and the weight difference is noticeable.
