SVRA Formula Vee's at COTA

Just a note to let you all know we have 18 FV's already signed up and with 5 weeks to go it looks like this is shaping up to be a great event for the Vee's

Are the Vee's still running with the production cars or will they have their own group? Or a group with other similar formula cars/sports racers? I personally would not considering running my Vee with production cars on the track at the same time.

Sounds like a great event and would love to be a part of SVRA.

The format as of today will be, practice and qualifying, all cars run together. The qualifying race and championship race will be split start. The track is large enough and the cars are similar in speed, most likely the cars will not meet and if they do, it won't be until the very end.

Yes, the Production cars are racing in a separate group.

Did you move the production cars based on the number of formula car entry's ?

Will this be an ongoing trend to keep them separate or will the entry numbers dictate the grouping?

Yes, the production cars were moved because of the number of Formula cars.

We always try to make the best groups possible and we never know really how things will work out until just before an event. This has not happened before so I wouldn't really call it a trend, but you never know.
