Default Celebration of Motorsport October 1/2

    Good Morning All,

Just a reminder that the Final Race of the year is less that 2 weeks away. The Celebration of Motorsport has historically been one of the most well attend events of the season and this year looks no different.

To top it all off, the organizers have reached out to all the groups announcing the that Saturday night there will be a Roast Beef dinner for EVERYONE at the track, Drivers, Crew, Family, Friends..

I have also attached a schedule of events for the weekend, we have a pretty good layout for our series.

Hope to see everyone out for the weekend.

Day 1 of the Celebration of Motorsport proved to exciting and full of surprises. As the cars took the damp and slick track Saturday, the championship was still up in the air, with 3 of the 4 championship hopefulls taking to the track. (Phil Wango Tango was off marrying the love of his life, congratulations from all of us Phil) it was anyone's game. With Barrett Kingsborough starting on Pole and Matt Garwood in P2 the battle was set for top spot.

In the end is was Jesse Ward you surprised everyone with his wet weather driving skills to take the win, followed closely by Matt and Sid Nye in 3rd.

So as it stand for the Championship,

    Matt 1329
    Phil 1235
    Barret 1179

With 2 races to go, it will be down to the wire.

BTW we have been informed that Phil's new wife has allowed him to finish the final 2 races, the day after he got married to fight for the championship. Thank you Lisa Shaw, we will take care of him.

As far as excitement goes, you could not ask for anything better that today's final race of the 2016 season.

The Championship came down to 3 drivers, the last race, the last lap and the final 20 feet. With Phil Wango Tango taking the checkered flag but .060 of a second ahead of Matt Garwood and .116 of a second ahead of Barrett Kingsborough.

Congratulations to all the driver for a great 2016 season and especially to Shaun Milligan and Megan Gilkes who chose today for their rookie debut. There are some amazing things come for the 2017 season
