    Default Oil filter data

If you really feel like playing around to see what might fit and what not, try going to http://oilfilterdata.com/ . Interesting site with several useful search features.

I don't know what size works on that system but for the regular remote filter I used I went to the auto parts store with threaded nipple that the filter screwed onto and went thorough the filters until I found a small one that fit and it was a AC Delco PF 53 which also was the filter on my then current street car a Saturn.

My old cooler / filter block is very similar to Schings'.
The filter face is 3" wide with a 3/4"-16 threaded nipple.
I've used both the Fram HP-7 (3.30" long) but prefer the Fram HP-10 (4.89" long - more oil capacity).

    thanks glenn,

i think i will try out one of the hp filters. can't see any advantage to the k&n hp-1002 and have always had good luck with hp1's on my last race car.

Great web site. Thdre are several filters that can be used on our vees.. I tend to look at the openings as a gauge guess at flow rates. Some filters have tiny holes that cause pressure drop across the filter. This website will be a great tool going forward. thanks

Are these oil filter adapters still available? I looked at the SR racing web site and could not find this.

Jim @ SR retired a while back, I have a feeling these aren't available anymore - but if you post a wanted ad in the classifieds, they do pop up for sale (used) every now and then.
