Default Registration is open for Right Coast Formula F Series Race 3

    Hi,

Registration is open for the 3rd weekend of the Right Coast Formula F Series. Go to DLBRacing and look for the Formula Race Promotions event on August 5 -7 at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. When you log in select the RCFFS entry and continue on through the registration process.

The entry fee for this event is $525. This is a NARRA administered weekend and they have levied a $25/entry surcharge on FRP for this weekend. Again, the entire entry fee for Right Coast events goes to the race organizer and we do not share in the proceeds.

Based on early feedback, we believe we will have 20 plus entrants for the PIRC weekend. Please come and join us as a support group for the FRP Pro F1600/F2000/FAtlantic and the NARRA GT cars.

The program will included two practice sessions on Friday, a Saturday morning qualifying session and Race 1 of the weekend. Races 2 & 3 will be held on Sunday. We do not yet have a weekend schedule, but will pass that along as soon as we get it.

So, come in race in a FF/CF only race group with 2 1/2 hours of track time for the weekend.

    Thanks,

    Joe Marcinski

I did the RCFFS race last weekend at mid-Ohio and if you ever get a chance to go race with these guys, do it. Excellent events with great folks. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and I feel everybody else felt the same. Go do it, you won't regret it.

Default Right Coast Race 3 at PIRC Registration is Open

    HI,

We are now about 22 days from load in for Right Coast Race weekend #3 at PIRC and we already have 12 drivers entered. Can we double that number? It would make for a really fun weekend if we can. There are at least 6 more drivers who have told me that they are going to be there for sure.

And, we have also have another set of Hoosier rain tires to give away to one of our drivers. So, if you need some rain tires, please join us and make sure your car number is in the hat.

    I just registered.

As of right now, Right Coast has 20 entries. That's more than FA, F1600 and F2000 combined.

I guess the pro guys wait to register.

We are up to 22 cars. Looks like we need 3 more for the number of 25. But why stop at 25.

Jimmy had his pro series boys, Scanlan and Albani, join the fray to make it 22 with me. Still time to get to 25+.

Looking forward to seeing Joe and the crew at Pitt.

Windshadow appears to be confused as this thread is regarding Right Coast at Pitt Race Aug 5-6-7.
It seems he is referring to another clubs event at a different facility....
Meanwhile back on topic Right Coast at Pitt Race for Round 3 is on track for a two dozen car and driver field, that 25 car goal well within reach......

Now we, Right Coast, are cooking, 24 entered for Round Three of the 2016 schedule, hopefully everyone will remain healthy and enjoy this landmark event at Pitt Race, or PIRC, whatever name you want to refer to it as [just not BeaveRun !].

If anyone needs a paddock lackey. I can rent you Shayne for the weekend. Sure he may loose pins for your nose cone right before you have to go out. Or push a car and run over your ankle and almost break it. But he does take good pictures... Actually the more I think about it I feel bad for taking money to rent him. You can borrow him for free! Shayne I am forced to do this because you are not racing.

Mike the way I see it... Shayne has to be our paddock lackey for the next 10yrs to pay us back. Every time I pushed him to get the car started in 20 degree weather and he would stall it added another year of service.

For those of you who have not run with RCFFS before you are in for a treat. I think we had 17 cars at Mid-Ohio and it was a blast. Great bunch of folks and Joe and Mike are a class act. A lot of fun.

    Joe / Mike
Just entered so that gets us closer to 30 cars!
Been traveling for work this past month, but worked on my clutch issues this weekend and I think I've got it fixed. Will take it for a test drive in the neighborhood this afternoon.

Default Right Coast Race 3 at PIRC Registration is Open

I hope I don't put the hex on this, but 27 drivers entered for this coming weekend! This is really what we have been working toward since we started this back in 2013 with the Formula Fest at Summit Point.

In the interest of honesty, we know that two of the entrants are just going to run the Friday sessions with Right Coast to get familiar with the PIRC long course. But 25 cars is still a high water mark for Right Coast/DUFFUS.

So, on behalf of the Right Coast Formula F Series, my sincere thanks to all of the drivers who are choosing to race with us this coming weekend. And there is still plenty of room in the paddock and time to enter.

It slipped my mind to ask here, but I have a bunch of guests coming.

Anybody have crew spots open they could let me have? I'll let you pick whether you want to have the Australian on your crew, the two from Germany or the two Iowans.

    Thanks for any help.

    Dave

Never mind, I think... I went to DLB and entered 8 crew and they all came up as free. Is that right for a Pro weekend?

BTW: When I went to DLB I got a message that said I had messages to read. Turned out to be, I believe, mal-ware. Anyone else hit that?

While I am sorry Kevin and Candy Brumbaugh won't be attending [Candy you have my best hopes for successful knee surgery !] we are going to make you even sorrier you can't make it !

    Why?

Because, at Steve Bamfords suggestion, we want to take advantage of the total FF/CF/F1600 entry of 38 cars spread over 14 manufacturers and over 40 years to get a group photo op of all cars and drivers on Friday at the lunch break.
Pitt Race [PIRC] has graciously offered use of the front straight where we will line everyone up in rows of 4-3-4-3etc staggered so all cars and drivers are visible, drivers in suits holding helmets, standing by or sitting on rear tires.
Need folks with cameras and volunteer crew folks to help arrange vehicles and are looking for someone with a good camera equipped drone to document from overhead.
Wish we'd had one in 2009 at Elkhart, but....
Anyway, all cars are to begin lining up at 12 noon and we will use that 12:15 time frame as needed to get this cool sht.
Be there, each and every one !

A little hot and humid at times but over all a great race weekend even if I didn't get any Kill Stickers. But I was one tired pup when I rolled in my driveway at 2:43 AM this morning.

    Default Thank You

    Hi,

I would again like to sincerely thank all the drivers, crew, family and friends who came to join the Right Coast Formula F Series at Pittsburgh International Race Complex this past weekend. the 26 cars that took to the track on Friday for practice was a high water mark for Right Coast/DUFFUS and is what we have been hoping for since we started this silly thing in 2013.

This only happened because YOU chose to come and race with us. I hope that everyone had a great time (despite some incidents and mechanical difficulties).

While I am absolutely thrilled at the turnout; I would like all of us to be cautious and put this in the proper perspective as we have ONLY done this once.................... One in a row is nice, but If we can put two or three of these together; then we will really have something to talk about.

I will have a race report in a day or two.

    Thanks again,

    Joe Marcinski

Thank you again to all who made this happen, especially Joe M., Mike R....and Bob W for getting us the run group.

Even though I had something I had to be home for on Sunday and couldn't stay for the final day, the race on Saturday was so damn fun I didn't feel so bad during my 8hr tow home on Saturday night. It gave me and my dad plenty to "oohh and aaahhh" about in the truck as we watched the race video from my car on the laptop. The 25 minutes of clean but hard, fun, racing I had on Saturday is exactly why we spend our little disposable income and many long hours prepping cars and towing to and from the track.

I can easily say running with RCFFS this past weekend was the highlight of my 5 year racing career. Looking at the timesheet after P1 was a shock for me, as I am used to seeing 6 maybe 10 cars in the SCCA Regionals that I'm used to racing. Seeing a stout field of 26 racers was very cool and I am looking forward to many many more weekends like this!!

If you are on the fence about checking out the rest of the "flash mob" RCFFS events, don't hesitate!
