    Default Widening of wheels

I am in the process of putting a Johnny Walker f4 car of late 60's vintage car back together, I have two sets of wheels and would like to widen the rears by about 2 inches.
The wheels are mini 10 inch diameter, does anyone do this ?
    Thanks
    Paulie.

We've done a couple but they are a pain.

I was wondering what they were all about and found some cool F4 stuff:

    And:

Do you know any of the history of your chassis?

Don't really know much about the history, it was used in some solo events not sure if it was ever road raced.
Came with two cb750 Honda motors, and a pair of 40 dcoe webers, motor is now built and ready to install, just received the shocks from the uk, assembly time.
Would you be interested in doing the wheels?
    Thanks

I assume they are cast aluminum? Welding heat would burn any finishes off obviously...
Will follow up with a PM.

How wide do you want them to be? You can buy 10" Mini wheels up to around 8", and there are three piece wheels that could probably be wider than that. Tires to put on them may be another issue altogether...

These guys can do up to 10". depending on offset you need. http://www.force-racing.co.uk/wheels-10/

    Those wheels look very cool.

I might hesitate to alter them, in case they're valuable as is.

    Neat car.
