Imagine. A FVee race where Formula Everything Else is not screwing it up royally. Will those 20 guys even know how to react.

    Default Mid Ohio

The whole concept behind Challenge Cup Series
Was to allow relative low cost competive racing in single class
fields at premier tracks through out the North East
USA and Canada . And still have fun.

    Looking forward to
    Mid Ohio

    Cheers

This is the core of the Challenge Cups intention. To have our own group. This is one of the things our members have enjoyed- racing for their position and using your race craft without interference from other groups.

    Dennis,

If you can put Brian and I on your crew list it would be appreciated If you have room! I know they don't usually check at the FRP but I don't want to chance it.

    Thanks!

    Default Mid-Ohio Track Access ?

    Guys,

I was hoping to make it to the race this weekend to check out the series and hopefully talk to some competitors.

Does anyone know if the track is open for spectators?

    Thanks,

    Keith

I am pretty sure the Organizer allows spectators. If you get there and have a problem email me and I will get you set up on a crew list.

Racing is over but we had no problem going in to Mid Ohio all weekend. Just showed SCCA membership card, no fee. Fantastic weekend of race spectating. Great place to be able to see the action very close to the track. F1600 and F2000 races were vertical exciting to watch.

Great organization, great weather, and great racing. It was just a complete event and the Challenge Cup guys certainly did their part to support the show. As at Mosport, the quality of the cars impressed me as much as the quantity of cars. Most that started the weekend were still running by Sunday afternoon. Why any northeast FV racer without a serious shot at Runoff glory would be running Majors events instead of Challenge Cup events, is beyond me. It is so what FV once was, and needs to be, going forward. Great job to everyone involved.

Both day's races were great, but the nod has to go to Sunday - definitely one of the best races I have ever experienced. With eight cars going nose to tail practically the entire time without any serious incident by any competitor was awesome.
Some of the spectators at turn 5 were even standing and applauding on the cool-off lap!
My hat is off to all my fellow competitors for such an intense, but clean race.

Great weekend of racing and great parties both nights. I agree with everyone else, everyone should be attending these weekends if they're not serious runoffs contenders. It's the way FV races should be and no mixed class races. I have over 30 sessions on my tires and they are great. That's a savings of $2000 compared to the 3 sets of Hoosiers that would have been needed for 30 sessions. Plus I've won $700 now in cash from the cash prize drawings.

Everyone should give it a shot, we're averaging over 20 cars per weekend so far this year.

Sunday didn't go so well for me, but Saturday was easily the most fun I ever had in a race car! Bravo to everyone involved! Looking forward to the next event!
