    Default FS 1989 Swift DB 3

    After a stint as a competition chairperson and almost forty years of racing I have decided it's time to retire. So I'm offering my Swift DB3 for sale the car has less than one hour on it since a complete restoration.

    Chassis:

    Total tear down and reassembled using all new AN bolts, nuts and washers, all new rod ends (Aurora).
    Uprights fully rebuilt by Fast Forword including new spindels, bearings, wheel nuts and washers.
    Steering rack disassembled inspected lubed and reassembled.
    Rockers disassembled inspected lubed and reassembled.
    New wire harness.
    New fire system.
    New aluminum radiator and all silicon hoses.
    New Belts Good to 2019.
    HANS adapter for Swift (Porter Racing)
    Unused bead seat kit.
    Original FOX shocks rebuilt by Shock Shop.
    New rub pads front and rear.
    Rebuilt LD20s and new pads.
    New master cylinders.
    Two new batteries.
    New apex joints (all of them)
    Hard wired transponder.
    Second set of wheels.
    All bulk heads replaced.
    New Momo open top D steering wheel.

    Engine:

    New Ivey all the latest updates.

    Transmission:

    New input shaft and cuppler.
    Aluminum dif carrier.
    New CV joints (Fast Forward)
    New Clutch.
    Clutch slave rebuilt with new piston.
    New reverse gear clusted.
    New dog rings.
    New hockey stick.

    This is the last DB3 made. I have the log books from day one and full history of this many time runoff participant. Car is legal for Sovren vintage racing!

    I believe I know this car well. If so it is the last DB3-89 in original FC trim.

    Sorry to see you retire, you were always great to run with and taught me a lot.... And thank you (and the other officials) for your dedication to the sport.

    I'm worried what will happen in a few years when the younger generation isn't interested in corner working or other support positions..

    Default One Happy Guy!

    WOW! I am now the very proud owner of both the last Swift DB-1, and the last Swift DB-3 ever produced...cars previously owned and meticulously maintained by John Grooms and Tom Balzarini. I will be racing them alternately at different events, but will have both in a garage at COTA for the SVRA Vintage Nationals. Stop by and have a look if you are there!

    Thanks to Tom and John for keeping these two benchmark cars in such beautiful condition. I am committed to maintaining and enhancing them while in my care.
