    Default Two new cars

Two new cars will be making the Blackhawk field thanks to the ongoing efforts of some our drivers. Here is a picture from Sam Farmiga's shop of the cars being readied. The one with the tail fitted is for Rob Clark, the one in the front is the first IGOFL car to be driven by Sam. Next weekend a large number of FST drivers and crew will descend on West Chester Ohio to put the final touches on these cars prior to their first test session. The cars will go to the test in white gel coat but should be painted by Blackhawk.

    Default More Progress

Well it came off. A group of us descended on Sam's shop in West Chester Ohio and we really banged away on these two cars. I'm pleased to report they are about 90% ready for the track. Engine run, they roll around, foam seats poured and expertly carved by Rob Clark using his Black and Decker electric carving knife. (why didn't I think of that--pass the white meat please)

Still to do, machining spacers, paint, cooling systems , data systems but both will be track ready well before Blackhawk.

Picture below is Rob's car about halfway through the weekend.
