Default Weber pressed-in fuel inlet removal ???

Can anyone point me to the paragraph in the current GCR that requires (aka: shall) or authorizes (aka: may) the removal of the pressed-in fuel inlet that comes installed in the Weber? I've looked for more than an hour and can't find it.........

    Keith-

thanks!! I was looking in the wrong place (Kent rules) and would have never found it.

do you read the rule as written to allow use of the inboard boss instead of the outboard boss which is normally used ??

    9.3.13. CARBURETOR FUEL INLET FITTING
On all carburetors, (except SU, C and D Sports Racing cars with motorcycle-
type carburetors and Formula 500 Mikuni VM38 and F600 cars) with
a non-threaded fuel inlet fitting, the fitting shall be replaced by drilling and
tapping the carburetor body for a threaded fitting.

    Default fuel inlet

If the car I am working on has the clearance, to the rear tail/body, I drill and tap the other side for a 1/8npt to -3AN fitting. On that I attach a short hose with -3an fittings on each end and use a -3an plug on the open end.. If Tech wants a fuel sample I remove the plug and use it to fill their little bottle.

    Default Shradder valve

I do like Keith, but just screw a shradder valve (I can't spell) into the carb on the backside. Carry a fuel pressure gauge if anyone needs a sample. Just remove the gauge, attach to car, turn on fuel pump.

(oh it is a GM valve for fuel injected cars so it can handle fuel)

    Default Valve

I have been using the one from a 1990 Corvette since I have one of those and was able to confirm it would work. One thing you will not like about it is the price. I think I paid $65 for the last one.
