Default A new car for a familiar face in 2016.

Because of a new and unique business opportunity, Bill Gray of Nuveau Autosport is taking a short hiatus from the car rental business. *We expect he will be rejoining the FST Championship after the new venture is on its feet.* But because of this occurrence, one of our best drivers, Rob Clark needed a car for the 2016 season.

Rob is a perennial fast guy, top runner, lap record holder and 2014 Hoosier Tire Formula FST champion. He is a native New Zealander, works in Detroit for GM and he is moving to a new team in 2016. He will compete for the Championship at all five of the core events. What is unique about this car is it is a team effort that made it possible at this time. While the car is itself not exactly new, it will have all new mechanicals and a new Mysterian M5 body. The engine is by Autowerks, Transmission by VMS, and more importantly Matt Seim will be taking over the preparation work of this new venture.

As I said this was a team effort with contributions coming from across the FST world. Sam Farmiga is the key. Sam is in the last stage of building a new car. Rather than recycling his old race car Sam donated the chassis, suspension and transmission to the effort. RGU racing, this writer, George Podgorski, and Doug Seim produced their spare Mysterian M5 body and spare dyno time only Autowerks motor. Larry Campbell was a huge influence in making sure everyone involved was pulling together and had their eyes wide open. Jim Schings will make sure Rob is well equipped with all consumables.

The car will probably do a Mid May test day then its off for the start of the season at Blackhawk around the middle of the month of June. General Motors has informed me they are making every effort make sure Rob is set with a generous budget.

Look for the bright yellow and black flash at Blackhawk. And of course it will be well documented as anyone who has watched Rob's outstanding videos will attest.
