Default The frcca and honda powered enthusiasts

A message to all Honda powered Formula Ford enthusiasts:

It has come to our attention here at the FRCCA after reading many racing forums, that the fact is a lot of racing clubs and formula car drivers simply do not won't you in their organizations, and that you are getting a rough deal.
We here have nothing against tradition and believe there should always be a place for it and clubs that honor it, but there should also be a place to move with the times and embrace development, so the FRCCA has something to offer you.
How about a class of your own within the FRCCA organization, a class were you can remove any restrictions you've had to put in place to stay level with the Fords, were you can unleash the full potential of your Honda power plant.
A class were you are not stigmatized by others in the paddock
The FRCCA is more than happy to offer you just that! your own Honda points championship
class with a run group of your own.
The FRCCA believes that all forms of Formula car racing should be encouraged and room given for the sport to continue to grow.
we would love to hear from you on your thoughts and any interest you may have in joining us with your Honda powered car

please contact us here at the FRCCA at frcca2014@gmail.com or call 201-665-8682

If I lived in the NE I'd be all over this. I'd love to run with no restrictor or a larger restrictor in an all Honda FF class.

I would be all for racing against an unrestricted honda engine if I could run a Kent engine with no restrictions on fueling or ignition systems.. that would be interesting. I really would like to see what a kent motor could do with fuel injection and electronic ignition systems like this for example:

or a complete replacement like TEC engine management systems by electromotive.

    that would be interesting.

    Chris,

You can, its called Formula S. It's a regional class in SFR for "run what ya brung". You would be in Group 2 with Atlantics, FM, P1, P2, and DSR.

    Dan

Hi Folks, the purpose of the original post was to INVITE the Honda powered folks to join in the fun with the club. We don't plan to change the current classes. Nothing against Kent engineering projects, I just don't the guys are interested in that. Looking forward to a GREAT 2016 season!

The Electronic ignition like the one sold from Spencer motorsports would be a great update for the kent engine, I really don't believe it will give you more HP's as it will let you put your max HP's were you want it.

The Honda's don't do that but they maximize there HP's all the time.
