Sunoco Race Fuels Returns to US Formula 1000 Championship
Sunoco Race Fuels once again returns to the 2016 US Formula 1000 Championship for their fourth consecutive year. Sunoco will again be the series presenting sponsor, contributing to the season-ending prize fund, and also providing the hard charger award. Not only will the series be fueled by Sunoco, Sunoco Race Fuels will be the exclusive fuel of all US Formula 1000 Championship race cars in 2016. Like previous years, the Sunoco Hard Charger Award will be a cash prize that will be paid at every race on the 2016 regular-season schedule. Over the first four weekends and first eight races of the Championship, the driver that advances the most positions from his official qualifying position to his official finish position in each race will win $200. A grand total of $1,600 will be paid out during the regular season and the Sunoco Hard Charger winner at the season-ending Championship race at Mid Ohio Sportscar Course will receive $500!
Qualifying position will not include tardiness to the grid. Qualifying and finishing position will include any penalties or DQs.
