My Dad, Garry Luterek will be racing assuming the schools goes well the weekend before. He is new to the class and hasn't raced for the last several years

Becker and I will be there, assuming I can get the day off...

Actually, that's the limiting factor all season!

If everything goes to plan, I'm hoping to make this my first Majors race ever. See you there!

How can it be justified to run all of the formula and sport racing classes together for practice and qualifying? (1 of 2 sessions) Insanity plain and simple.

Per the Supps (just above the schedule):

"Combined Practice group sessions are 10 minutes per group. Combined Qualifying group sessions are 15 min per group."

the real insanity, (no disrespect meant to anyone), is that the first race after school is a major. there was a situation simiilar to this at sebring this year and the CS made him go back to drivers school. At least with the old system, most people had to have 4 races before running nationals.

John, there is a Double Divisional right after the school. The school is Friday and there's a double divisional Saturday and Sunday. The following weekend is the Major. I know things are different from the old days but a lot of drivers going through schools these days have lots of experience, whether in karting, other drivers schools, hours of pounding around "country clubs", etc. I'm not saying that is a reason to fast track anyone but I do remember 30 years ago (somehow) and I was probably ready for Nationals right out of driver's school. I did only compete in 2 regionals before getting my National license but I had competed in about 40 wheel to wheel races in Midwestern Council. BTW, I went through Council school not SCCA.

We're being fair weathered racers and planning on a nice weekend so we registered tentatively... 8 cars so far! Keep it going!

I will have a very short season this year. Right now I am planning on the Sprints. However I will be at Blackhawk to at least watch and wish I was on track.

Too bad Mat. Enterprises has just announced contingencies for the Northern Conference races! They're paying down to 10th place for the Sunday races on two day events and paying for both Saturday and Sunday races for three day weekends. Minimum of 5 cars entered, which we shouldn't have any problem with for our races.

How many more possibilities are we looking at, Steve? Are we going to break the double digits?

Does anyone have race footage from last year they would be willing to share or post on youtube?

Can someone get me up to speed on all the available contingencies for FE? What do I need to register ahead of time for? What stickers do I need to run for them?

Or is there a good link where I can self-educate? Thanks!

To inform those who are considering racing FE or those who are yet to be on Robey's distribution list, I posted the vital info of the new program here: http://www.apexspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73175

I will be running the car that weekend. My registration is "locked" for some reason.

    Default Blackhawk

May not make a difference if it rains. Let's just say that it could be better. I am sure things will get worked out.

The entire track got oiled down twice during the day so I'm not sure what to think. See you on Friday.

Sorry guys, it looks like we will be sitting this one out too. Race weekends are too expensive with too many unknowns going into a weekend like this with the weather and such... Next stop looks like it may be Gingerman in July for us.

    Default AR Tires

For those of you that went, what are the opinions/feedback of the AR tires ? I know you guys were in the rain for most of the weekend . So, there's probably little to go by .
