Default Reynard FF or FC restore

Hello All, I have a 1986 Reynard FC that I raced back in 2001-2003 in the Northeast. It's been sitting in my garage since then as life demanded my presence. Now, I'm looking to get back in and trying to decide whether to restore the car as a FF or FC. The car came into the country as a FF, and was coverted to a FC and run in the USAC F2000 series. It eventually found its way to the DC region of the SCCA, came north for awhile, and then I bought it. Been reading around the forum for a few days, and not sure if FC is the way to go any longer. Are the fields better in FF? What would you guys do? Thanks in advance! -- Mark

There is your answer. Do your research and find the groups.

I would do whatever is the least amount of work/cost to get back on track.

Is it better to get back on track in 6 months with a smaller field or 18 months (conversion-unless you have all the parts) with a currently larger field.

What is the condition of the engine (I assume 2 liter) and the wings? Do you have FC size wheels?

Could cost a lot to convert it to FF, I'd think, if you have to buy a new engine and 4 (or more) wheels.

There's a group in the Northeast area that's trying to do something similar to what us FC fanatics have done in the Northwest very successfully. You might try to contact them about their future. The Northwest version:

CREW for Jeff 89 Reynard or Flag & Comm.
