Default Team Phoenix lowering track records

    1/23/2016 Fontana Ca.

At the ACS Majors Team Phoenix driver Gary Hickman lowered the long standing track record set by Phil De Lao from 1:37.132 to a new record of 1:36.284. Hickman went even faster in Q2 with a 1:35.41, but couldn't duplicate that during the race.

2/20/2016 Willow Springs Intl Raceway in Rosemond, Ca.

Once again the Team Phoenix crew went to work to lower yet another long standing track record set by Nicolas Belling in 2010. On Saturday Hickman successfully lowered the record from 1:17.95 to 1:16.885 on the super fast WSIR track. On Sunday he dropped the record even further to 1:15.879 to cap off a clean sweep of the weekend.

Team Phoenix will be at Thunderhill April 8th thru the 10th for the 3rd round of the Western Region SCCA Majors.

    Default Suzuki Power

Jeremy: We are still running the Suzuki. We may run the Kawasaki at Thunderhill. We have 2 cars to choose from now.

    Best Regards,

    Default WSIR video

Here is some great footage by Tim Day showing Gary's duel for 1st in group.

At about 6 minutes, Gary is reeling in Jeff Shaefer and Tim Daly.

Full course yellow comes out at about 6:48.

Gary is hot on Tim's tail at about the 11 minute mark.

Note that Gary is up front with all the P1 cars.
