Default History of a Merlyn MK11A

I have the opportunity to own a Merlyn MK11A that is in serious need of restoration. The frame is #147/FF/68. I know nothing of the history of this car, other than it's been on the west coast for several years. It apparently was owned by a Mr. Martin Torrez, who has since passed away.
The car has the original Cortina motor in it, with a MK6 gearbox.
Any information on the history of this car would be Greatly appreciated.
    Thanks MUCH in advance!!

Only just seen this. Did you buy the car?
One of the first things to look for would be any stamp on the roll hoop
I have lots of chassis histories for Merlyn FFs in the UK but can't help with this one

Email Clive Hayward at Merlyn. With the chassis number he can probably tell you who purchased the car originally. merlyncrd@aol.com

    Default Merlyn

I decided not to purchase this particular car. Too many "Cons", not enough "Pros". Still looking for a good vintage project.
