Oh, Jon did it. If not him, it was the 'oversteertv' guy. Either way, they are in on it together. Classy as ever.

I'm 'looking into it'. Might give a call to the USF4 and SCCA and see how they approve of this as the Facebook post identifies the poster as speaking for 'the team'. I am happy to know I caused him to spend the extra couple hundo on registering the domain name anonymously.

Hey Wren - how jealous are you that even you didn't get your own 'Created By Jon' website?

I hope this means we have given him enough exposure to make his scams more difficult. I know on good authority he is running the team and identifies himself as the team principal.

I've always wanted my own website!

PS. He got my email wrong - it's @aol.com, I'm old school.

I don't even know what else to do. I tried everything.

I'm sorry, but I deserve it more than you do.

On a serious note, it reflects poorly on the SCCA that they are helping to promote Leading Edge GP. Whether his name is removed or not, he is still calling the shots.

“We at Leading Edge Grand Prix are extremely excited about our partnership with Oak & Cane,” said, John Lewis, Vice President of Leading Edge Grand Prix. “It is definitely one of the most exciting brands of rum to hit the market in many years, and we are looking forward to many future years of a successful partnership as we work together to bring the Oak & Cane brand to mainstream America.”

It now looks like he's making an attempt to keep the search engines from finding all of the great motorsports background history about "Jon Lewis." Now, people can also search, "John Lewis." Maybe we should preemptively include "John Louis" and "Jon Louis" in the future Google results that point here, as well.

Wow. I didn't see the 'fine print'. I like the "child molester/little boys" part. That's made this go from mildly amusing to quite sad actually. But, I guess if you're going for outright slander, that's always worked in the past.

I like how Mike B. got a shout out too.

If there was ever any doubt at to his lack of legitimacy, this pretty much eliminates that. Speaks quit loud for the person he is.

"in a multi-year deal that will put the company squarely in front of the millions who watch the FIA Formula ".... one?? Maybe they don't know that Formula FOUR is not ONE.. They may think they got a great marketing deal with the 'new' F1 team.

I particularly enjoyed the part about it being the only spirit served at the Leading Edge hospitality suite.

The scenarios he presented to these guys must have been laughable at best. Hospitality tents, sipping rum, and lounging under palm trees. That's how our weekends typically go at the track, right?

Beginning to think the whole Oak & Cane think is just another scam. He made it up to look like he had major sponsors to draw in others.

I think you are dead on. The Oak & Cane web site is obviously brand spanking new and very much incomplete. I'll bet they haven't made a single bottle of rum as yet.

    Default Interesting ......

I'll be downtown this morning ........

This is about 3.5 blocks from the Federal Courthouse (convenient ?).

My first office was in the "arrow" bldg; "X" is the advertised building.

If I have time maybe I'll saunter by .........

    Default Fort Lauderdale

The address tells you all you need to know. I learned years ago to never do business with anyone that has a Fort Lauderdale address. It is home to 95% of the scam artist in the country. The only good thing about Fort Laurerdale is the airport is a lot easier to get in and out of then Miami. Guess it makes for a quick get away.
