    Default New Aussie Formula Vee

A new Formula Vee hit the Aussie racing circuits recently - the Ajay is the second built by former Western Australian Vee Champion Anthony Lees from his workshop in Perth. It uses most of a Formula Ford body (like Larry's Evolutions) and has been at the front since it was commissioned. Perth is on the West coast of Australia, and is the most isolated city of over 1 million population in the world. The Formula Vee Association of Western Australia regularly field over 25 cars at their race meetings.

Is that a Stealth/Van Diemen body? Looks good!

You have excellent observation skills! How did you know that?
The Stealth Van Diemens were also built in Perth, and these modified Van Diemens were incredibly successful for a few years in National level Formula Ford competition.
Perth, being such an isolated place, means that the motor racing community is rather close. So Anthony borrowed the modified Van Diemen moulds from his Stealth buddies and made up a Formula Vee body!

I really liked the Stealth when I saw them in 2000 at Manfeild in NZ.
Highly modified RF 94 and it was very successful.
Tiny car that required a "young man" to fit/drive it.
Glad to see the body made it onto an FST/FV1600
