Default Hoosier vintage FF treaded tire sighting

At PRI Hoosier had their new vintage treaded FF tire on display. It looks similar, but not identical, to the Dunlop. Hoosier guy said it is bias-ply, compound a bit harder than the R60, and cheaper than the Avon. Sounds like good news to me. Hopefully Monoposto will take a good look at approving this tire. Thanks Hoosier.

Tire at PRI was a front. No rears yet. No price or estimate. Was told: "in talks with SVRA at show,... as we talk"....(don't know about that, given the Toyo thread elsewhere on Apex)... estimated not available til March at earliest.

Was a nice looking piece. Posted size on sign was "metric" x 13, saw no dimensions/specs....but, will be bias, as mentioned above.

    Looked promising.....

They are also talking with VRG and will sponsor an FF Challenge series that VRG will put on this year.

    Default Hoosier Tier Release

In addition to VRG, SVRA has just posted that they will also be accepting Hoosier tires. I am not sure what sub-classes (VFF, CF or PCF) can use them. They included in their post a product bulletin from Hoosier showing a cost of $720 per set! Here is a link to the post: http://www.svra.com/tech-bulletins/tb2016-004-ff-tires/

    Cheers, Joe

This is good news. I like the price point. I wonder how the handling will differ from the Dunlops.
