What is the capacity of your fuel cell? Looking at the ATL FC-140 (4 gallon) cell. has anyone needed more than 4 gallons in a regional/majors race?

The standard "cheese-wedge" cell for a Caracal/Lynx holds about 3-1/4 gallons and I used to always have about 1/2 gallon left after a National.
Always count on 3 gallons for a Formula Vee in our "sprint" style of racing.
4 gallons guarantees you'll never run out in a session, but that extra gallon is 8 extra pounds...jus' sayin'...

I agree that 4 gal. should be enough though it would be interesting to know what the guys used at Daytona with so much time spent wide open. At RA for 13 laps plus pace and cool down, I typically start with about 3.75 gallons and have about 1/2 gal left. My original Mysterian cell held just over 4 gal and would pick up to under 1/2. My replacement cell is about the same size but doesn't pick up quite as well so I have to run a bit of extra fuel.

FWIW, run a 5 gallon cell. It gives me flexibility, fits well in my car and never leaves me with a question of whether or not I can cram enough fuel into to it to finish a GreenWhiteChecker race
