    Default FM mufflers

Where can I buy the Borla FM muffler? Do you know what Db level is achieved? I have a bridge ported 13B powered hill climb/AX car and have been running very heavy racing beat street mufflers but it needs to be below 96Db at a couple places.

    Tony,
Call Moses Smith at Texas Autosports . 817-512-4752. He can also tell you about what DB level to expect. 96DB may be cutting it close unless you run a baffle on the business end.

Default wow, that is REALLY quiet...

Are you running supertraps with it? You will about 50 discs! There are also some mufflers out there from Jegs that are specific for Rotary motors that you can chop up and make work. Is your requirement for a race or just pounding laps for practice? In other words, do you need to be FM spec legal AND get that db rating?

    Default rotary muffler

Yes it is really quiet especially for a rotary.
I use it for AX and some hill climbs. Both here at oh so PC Eugene's AX track and one hill climb in the national forest where the Db limit is to protect wildlife?!
I expect to add a trap for these events. The Racing Beat stuff ( a muffler and pre muffler) is really heavy, 25-30 pounds, and seams to have broken down internally already, but it does, with a trap, meet the limit.

I know that with the standard FM muffler that I peak around 101 dB at one sniffing location. Of course there are countless variables in sound measurement so YMMV. When I've run a super restrictive supertrapp I'm not even sure I was down to 96.
