2nd Annual Gateway Crew Karting Challenge

Based on repeated requests we will again plan to run the Crew Karting Challenge at Gateway after the racing ends on Saturday.

Sheila Burkett has offered to move the Track Dinner to be down by the Kart Track so that those that attend the Karting can also enjoy the dinner at the track.

There has been some suggestion of letting the Drivers compete this year - we will see how many crew entries we get before we open it up to the drivers.

Please post here to indicate who is in for the Crew Challenge so we can get a headcount started, remember you can have as many of your crew (or friends and family) participate, cost is tbd, but from memory was around $75 last year which included Practice, Qualifying and the Race.

I have inquiries out to get the final counts on the RGU crew for the epic kart race.

This was a GREAT event last year. Personally I think it should be crew only. I'm really hoping we have the numbers like we did last year.

Linda will be racing for the Nuveau team and I hear Tracy is in also. I have several others that may be attending and racing also. I'm with Doug, I like keeping it crew. These wives & people work hard all season and I think they deserve to be in the spot light.

Sign me up. I wanted to race against Larry Campbell, but he refuses. So I will race and use him as crew...

Oh Man I really wanted to see a Schings/Campbell match up. FST founder kart match for a years worth of bragging rights. Come On Larry race him!!!!!!!!!

Team RGU has a commitment from Matt Seim and Craig Quick for the crew challenge. We're working on getting Brodie Hensler to Gateway but that one isn't certain yet. I have one or two more that might get added in.

Last year I sponsored Sheila Burkett, the Registrar and she loved it. You could contact Peter Zekert or Chuck Udell to get some worker names. I would sponsor someone even though my FST is sold. I will be there in my SM. I have not driven a FST since Last October.

Sadly bump-em out of the way Ted will not be escaping Miami to make this event. It is amazing what a having job does to a person.

Ok we are all set for the Karting Challenge, I have moved the start time a little ahead from last year so we will be starting at 4pm. Final details will be confirmed soon.

The Top 3 will again receive Trophies and 'Champagne'
