    Default Episode 4: Vintage Weekend

There was a big break between events and work going on that this episode took a bit longer to put together. It is definitely a different look at a race weekend as nothing went smoothly. It was a struggle from the very first session. In the end we ended up having to take a step away from the car and enjoy something different. Sometimes it's amazing how things can change so quickly from one event to the next.

    Entertaining to say the least.

Skip the electronics and stick with the coil and points. Much more reliable and can be fixed should one forget to tighten the points down after setting the dwell (how do you think I know that??)

The Reynard was points and I never had issues with it. I'm going to go back to the electronic ignition for the time being, but I bought a spare for each module in the case of another failure. I also learned afterward that the Bosch blue coil can be used in a pinch.

But as you say Bill, never an issue with points.

An electronic module failure will cost you the session. I only allowed it to happen to me once then change car over to points.

Just my humble opinion and trying to look out for a fellow racer.

Probably the only lesson I learned in less than 3 or 4 tries.
