    Default Intake Manifold Indentifcation

As some of you have read I picked up a Lynx FV.
The intake manifold had a VeeTech sticker on and the case was stamped VeeTech.
I was cleaning the intake manifold today and under the carb mounting flange were the numbers 385 stamped into it.
Can anybody shed light on this?

    THanks,
    Jeff

Most likely, that is just a sequential number from whoever made that manifold. I don't KNOW that any of the manifold builders do that, but it's a reasonable guess. I'm not aware of any particular permanent marking made by any builder. Generally, Kochanski manifolds look dull light grey. VSR manifolds look dull dark brown (or so). I have no idea what a Harding manifold looks like. Since you are west coast, it could also be a Ron Chuck manifold. There are a few other guys around the country that have built manifolds, but I've never seen any of them either.
A PICTURE of your manifold might lead to a builder, if you are curious.

If you contact Jim at Veetech, he might have some records of your engine, at least from the last time it passed through his shop. Of course there's no guarantee it hasn't been gone through since then.

Monster Manies look very rusty and old. Not worthy of the money spent to purchase them. They do not carry any markings as the performance is the same for all units.
