    Default Glen Majors Video (Sunday)

Video shot from the front and back of my car this past weekend. Had a blast

Note that the cameras were both at an angle (last minute install wasn't quite right) and that the sound has way too much wind noise in it. sorry for that. I got used to looking at it sideways

Video ends just before the full course caution came out.

    FINAL RESULT

Wes Allen (fastest lap as well)
    Keith Joslyn
    Sam Lockwood
    Ed Midgley
    Thomas Schweitz
    Steve Roux
    David James
    Ray Boyer
    Chris Horan (DNF)

    Hey Steve,

Thanks for posting and glad you had fun.
How's the car doing? Do you have it sorted to your liking?

    Anthony.

    Default Getting there

    Anthony,

The work over the winter mostly worked. Cooling is better but still not good enough in traffic. In qualifying the car ran right on the thermostat, but in traffic in both races I saw temps up to 205. Going into the garage to make some flow devices to try at New Jersey. Figured out what I did wrong in the handling department and I am very happy with the behavior at the Glen. Thunderbolt will test the setup for robustness against understeer. I am optimistic based on how it went last weekend. Now if we can just mount the cameras better oriented to the horizon

Hope your leg is healing up ahead of schedule

    cheers

    Steve,
Looking good! I'd like to see what your car looks like.
Was that Brent in an Invader?

    Default Probably Mike Brent

    Chris,

the yellow F5 that spun was Mike Brent. he faded later with an exhaust problem. there was a decent F5 turnout, some QRE's as I recall.

I will try to find a nice picture. Up close the paint is hideous, from across the grid she looks OK

Did I see your house on TV the other night?? on House Hunters or the like?

    Cheers

    Steve

    Default Thanks for posting

I always like to watch other peoples lines to see what I can learn or pick-up.

If you wanted my 2 cents - and 2 cents is asking price, I'd say cut the curb a lot more going into the bus stop.

    Default Thanks

for the two cents. with a repaved Glen next year we should have a LOT of fun! I have to find a way not to spin after curb jumping. Learning opportunity for sure

See you at the DUFFUS next month

    Hi Keith
Had a blast racing with you! You raced clean and fair! It was my first time there in a Ford! What a track! Can't wait to go back!

Default Wes - Kudos back at you for a clean race. :checkered:

I have been unmotivated and literally have not touched the car since I rolled it into the trailer after the Glen Major, but I told myself I'm going to the PIR DUFFFUS race and the cool fall air has me inspired. I pulled the video chip from the camera last night and watched the weekend. Give me a few days and I'll post a link to it (I'm technically challenged that way). I'm not sure I want you to see it - you'll be that much faster next time you're at the Glen - of course, now that I think of it, with the repaving, it will be like learning a whole new track.
