    Default Electric water pump

Here's the electric water pump we're used for three years. It's been flawless for us:

I've used these on a 600 with good results. Used a pair in parallel to support dual radiators.

    Yes on the Bosch.
One thing I have been cautioned on regarding the Davies Craig and failures - it seems more than a few were caused by (Gasp!) operator error, using too small of a wire gauge.
These things are rated at like 3 amps as I recall. Wire accordingly...

PS I have never heard of any issues with the Suzuki stock mech pump. Is your intention to allow water circulation post race w/ engine off?

It will do, but obviously will not continue to flow once the water temp falls to the point the tstat closes. Unless you are not running one, and that is sort of advised against. By some/most...

    Enjoy!

    Default Electric water pump

    HI COOP

Our main concern is engine temp, we can not get this car under 220-230.
so I understand that a stock pump puts out under 200 gal per hr. so we are looking
for something that will flow more.
Our second concern is that we have been told that anything over 195 degrees will
    cause HP lost,
    thanks

    Default Electric water pump

My Stohr Ff came with a Stewart electric pump that is designed for racing applications. They should have something that would work for you.

I'll see your 3 amps, and raise your aux pump's open-ended flow rate by 49.4 gallons per minute; YEAH!

Make a nice pool fountain pump

200gph seems pretty incredible..... Maybe that's liters which would be about 50 gallons.

Small block chevy pumps maybe 35gph...

If it is 200gph (or even liters) maybe it's flowing too fast - not enough contact time to heat the water...

Think of it like people walking over hot coals. Walk fast and the heat doesn't transfer whether its 1 or 100 people. Slow it down and

    Default An Alternate Thought.

What makes you think the stock water pump is inadequate? Dozens of F1000s successfully use it without trouble. The problem may be in your radiator, ducting or water plumbing.

I've got a Davies Craig I can sell you, but I doubt it will be the solution.

    Yes.

You have an airflow problem. Giving the water less time in the radiators may not help. We ran one water radiator and one oil cooler in the Citation would sometimes tape one or both of them.

What are your oil temps? Out of or into the engine. Reducing oil temperature will reduce water temps.

220-230 may cost you horsepower, but it is also really bad for engine life.
