    Default EFF in Montreal

Saturday's Formula Tour 1600 support race for the F1 event:

Jim took second place in the Masters (over 60 y.o) class.
    Jens was third.
Ken was fourth, but that doesn't get you onto the podium to share the champagne.

I was a little behind them and never cared where I would place - I had almost as much fun today as we did qualifying in the rain on Friday. What a hoot!

Jim, BTW, found a wall in the rain and had to replace two corners on his car to make today's race. He and Jens got the work completed just in time to change into their gear while Savina drove Jens' car to the grid.

We do it again tomorrow at 09:00 and again I don't care where I finish, just so long as I finish. And I get to play with a couple of new Canadian friends who lap at almost exactly my pace.

Sorry I don't have a link or even a paper copy for today's results. I can tell you Bonnet qualified his Vector 10th, three spots ahead of J. Villeneuve (the elder - Gilles brother), also in a Vector.

Link to timing/results are in Race Monitor, event 30680 (Master/Pro)
Tried to post the link but for some reason my phone is acting up...

Edit: should have looked before I posted, today's race results are sorted by best time(tomorrow's grid), not finishing position.

    And http://www.mylaps.com/en/classification/3518409

You can see we spent a lot of time behind the safety car - not so much fun but did bunch us up for a lot of excitement when we finally went green. F1- quality flagging is pretty impressive.

Sunday: Jim and Jens did it again, managed not to get champagne in their eyes on the big podium with Villeneuve.

That's a cool race for Formula Ford. I got to spray champagne in 1994. Way cool deal. Congrats on your efforts guys.
