Default May 1-3 2015 Sovren Spring Sprints

Spring Sprints with Touring Car Challenge

    May 1-3, 2015 | Pacific Raceways

SOVREN web pix events preview SpringThis will be the first time that many of us will be on the track after a long winter of “just waiting”. We’ve seen everything at the Spring Sprints over the years, from sunburns to roostertails.
This will be the novice weekend as well, under the watchful eyes and direction of Novice Chairman Rick Korn and his committee.

Friday will be for novices and test-n-tune, Saturday and Sunday will see a full race program. The feature of the weekend will be the traditional Racecraft’s Touring Car Cup, the “under 2.5-litre challenge” race on Saturday and Sunday.

    Default Spring Sprints

Over 100 cars registered. 20 plus Formula Fords, 1 Brabham BT6 FJ, One Lotus 41F3 plus a bunch of sport racers and exhibition cars. Not to mention the four other grids of production cars. Should be a great show and race weekend.

Great time and, as always great to meet up with friends.

A great shout out to Rick Korn and Jim Johnson for hanging back with me and helping me come back up to speed after over a season off. Those races were a blast!

Also, a REALLY big thanks to Ken and Tracy Dye (DND fab)!! They are a wealth of info and help, and having them help crew for me was excellent. If someone needs a fab shop, or help with a car, look these guys up. Ken's nephew, Noah, helped the track workers in pregrid and did an excellent job as well.

And yes, we missed both Al and Greg out there... (Neither ran this weekend)
    Looking forward to Spokane..
