    Default 2006 Stohr WF1-SOLD

Pictures NOT YET AVAILABLE. CAR IS STILL AT THE SHOP BEING REBUILT

I'm selling this car for my brother. He can’t campaign it due to unexpected health reasons. As a result it's being offered for a quick sale. At this time the car is undergoing a ground up rebuild that will be completed by April 17th. This was being done in preparation for the 2015 season so the car will be very clean, fresh and ready to race for anyone who purchases it.

The car is a 2nd Gen - 2006 Stohr WF1 with all suspension and steering updates. This is not a GEN 1 conversion car but rather a genuine WF1. This car has been totally rebuilt by professional race shop. Lots of time and $$ have been spent in preparation for this race season. The car includes the following highlights:

2008 GSXR 1000 engine with GDRE wiring harness
    AIM MXL Data System
    Flatsahifter Expert Shift System
Stohr Carbon front splitter (with spare bottom plate)
Latest generation Stohr Carbon wing (dual element NOT Bi-plane)
    Ohlin’s ST44
    Quaiffe Differentia
Complete car set of new Rod ends
New Oil, Fuel and Water lines
    New Master Cylinders (AP Racing)
    New brake lines
    Carbon Air box
    Front and Rear Jacks included

Needs nothing to go racing. Very competitive car. IF you’re looking for a clean well-sorted car to go P1 or P2 racing this is it.

Quick sale price of $32,500. Trailer and other modest spares (wheels, etc.) avail separately.

The car is back up for sale. The previous buyer wasn't able to produce the funds even after being provided with more than 10 days to do so.

Well this hasn't really worked out for me and I'm tentatively putting the car up for sale.

Comes with everything listed originally in first post plus a second set of wheels and tires, spare control arms, spare front splitter, spare brake rotors, end plates, oil cooler and probably more.

I'm looking for a FIRM price of $30,000 USD

I sorted out a few small issues with the car after receiving it in April

I then did 4 laps with the car, long story short the engine went. I've become disenchanted and am focusing on other things right now.

Engine needs a rebuild (couple of pistons, and some valves now). If nobody is interested the way the car is the engine is going to be rebuilt or I will be putting in another one.

e-mail james at drivesideways dot com or PM me.

    Default I'm the new owner

I've been racing Formula Atlantic for the past five or six years. But I sold my car due to personal issues earlier this year. But I'm ready to get back into the racing scene and I really think this is a great way to go. Very quick and not too complex, reasonably inexpensive and it's a darn good looking car. Looking forward to 2016 racing season and getting to know all the prototype drivers. Doug Campbell Niles Michigan.

The chassis won the Runoffs in both DSR and CSR with JR Osborne behind the wheel. It's a good car (I know because I've driven it many times) will you keep it in P1 trim?

    Congrats on the purchase.

That is my plan. I'm still learning about the p1 class. And unless something happens to the class or participation is down such that there's no competition... That's the only reason I would consider p2.

Here is J.R.O.'s car at the 2007 Runoffs with the original-style engine cover in carbon fiber and at the 2008 June Sprints with the bi-plane wing and restyled engine cover in carbon fiber.

David thanks much for the pictures. I tried googling JR Runoffs and didn't come up with much. These are really great. Stan thank you. I don't know if you know my car but can you tell by looking or reading the description if it needs anything? Thanks again guys. I'm probably going to lean on both of you as I get familiar with the class and car

    Hi Doug,

I also know the car really well (if you have any questions). We had it for about 4 years before it was sold to James this past spring. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me.

Default Yellow Stohr is no more.,.new paint scheme

Like an archeological dig its interesting to see old schemes. My Atlantic was the old Player colors (sky blue and white) so the Stohr will be those colors with raw carbon fiber mixed in.
