    Has anyone used .25 airsoft bb for balancing race tires??

    I checked into this as well not that long ago, as well as using the actual "SpeedBead" brand ones. Upon digging into the GCR, I found that it required stick-on weights. I can't remember the actual page or section, but it was there & I gave up looking into it more.

    Go down to your local tire place and ask what they do with stick on weights that they take off wheels - they probably throw them away or it goes to recycle. Pick up about 15 oz and a roll of double stick foam tape and you have a lifetime supply.

    Any parts store should be able to sell you a 1# box of sticky weights--I get mine at Oreilly

    I wouldn't use the beads in a race tire---they seem to me to be more of a "steady state" item...put them in the trailer/tow vehicle tires

    I recycle my weights and use the metalized duct tape to attach. The cost of lead has risen so much most shops won't give away used materials. They're paid to recycle it from vendors.
