Sunoco Returns as Presenting Sponsor!
Sunoco Race Fuels is returning to the Hoosier Tire US Formula 1000 Championship for the third consecutive year in 2015. Not only will they once again be backing the Sunoco Hard Charger Award, they have stepped up their support and will now be a presenting sponsor of the series which will now be known as The Hoosier Tire US Formula 1000 Championship Fueled by Sunoco. Like last year, the Sunoco Hard Charger Award will be a cash prize that will be paid at every race on the 2015 regular-season schedule. However, the per race cash prize has been increased! Over the first five weekends and first ten races of the Championship, the driver that advances the most positions from his official qualifying position to his official race finish position will win $200 per race. A grand total of $2,000 will be paid out during the regular season and the Sunoco Hard Charger award at the season-ending Race 11 at Daytona International Speedway will receive $500!
Qualifying position will not include any penalties or tardiness to the grid. Finishing position WILL include any penalties or DQs.
