    Default Shane Prieto ..........

....... a very successful motorcycle racer who spent years 'tearing up the East Coast on his Kawasaki's - took time off and returns with long time mechanic (his brother "Shawn") with ".. a little more around you..." WELL DONE

Bill sorts a new (for him) chassis with long time mechanic [and excellent FF shoe] (his son "Burky") with a very good result as well ....... another WELL DONE

    Default Homestead

Great weather all weekend. Good to get back in the car since taking 2014 off.

Homestead is a pretty easy track to learn and is like a mini Daytona in some ways. The Kawasaki pulled me every time on the banking even when I had better exit speed out of T8. Sometimes 6 to 8 car lengths. It was great too meet Shane and Joel Haas. Shane and I raced hard and you can race Shane wheel to wheel confidently. Saturday Shane struggled in the infield road course section and I was able to pull off the win. Sunday he had the car better dialed in and I could not find the gap I needed in the infield to outrun him on the banks. I drove with everything I had Sunday and overdrove the tires trying to stay in the game. I had the track record Saturday and Shane took it away Sunday. My car was the best it's ever been with several updates and changes that were made recently.

Joel Haas was plagued with Geartronics issues all weekend.

Headed to Sebring this coming weekend.

To say that Shane was a very successful MC racer is an understatement. He went undefeated for something like 3 years against a swarm of the youngest fastest racers on the east coast.
He "retired" undefeated out of nowhere (I think when he had his daughter). This was years ago. He came to Sebring at last years winter national to hang with us and check out the cars and he got the bug again! This race was the second weekend he was ever in a race car!! He is a great guy and one to watch in the near future. He is the perfect addition to the FB family.

I haven't seen any photos of this car on Apex yet, but here is the Astra that Bill Falatik drove at Homestead and Sebring. Sorry for lousy phone camera picture:
