    Default Idle RPM

I am new to the FM and curious as to what a normal idle speed is. Mine is running about 2300-2500 rpm and really accelerates in 1st gear. Is this normal or after a good warm up does it drop down? I am not familiar with the 13B's. Thanks.

Turn the idle screw down to 12-1300 rpm. That's where we ran mine.

I saw Moses at PRI in Indy, I'm sure you will be able to reach him next week.

    Default Idle

The quick and easy answer is 1600-1800. There are some other factors regarding throttle response. It sounds to me like the previous owner was trying to fix a low speed throttle on hesitation. Although raising the idle helps, it is really a band aid for the real issue.

You should bring your car up to our track for a test day. We can help you get that thing tuned right up.

Thanks Moses. I am hoping to be there in January for the SCCA Regional. I have to attend the one day driving school on Saturday since I have been out for so long but they will waiver me for the Sunday race.

    Default Looking Forward to it

Sounds good. Friday is a test day, might be a good time to get a little more track time. You could also come out the weekend before as we have member days available. You could then leave your car/trailer here if needed.

    Let me know what works!

Thanks. I will update you as soon as I know my schedule. Being a corporate pilot is hard to jump to far ahead on plans but will keep you informed.
