    Default 2015 schedule

Jon's posting is a little hard to read. Hopefully this will work better.

    Default Enduro Series?

Jack, what's the basics for the enduro series? Sedans only, I assume?

I haven't been paying much attention to it, because it doesn't include formula cars. Give me a little time, and I'll try to nail it down for you.

It will be a minimum of 3 events each 2 hours or more in length. The complete rule set is not yet finalized. Stay tuned!

    Default Question

Please excuse my ignorance, but are these events on the schedule open to formula cars? I recently purchased a FE and looking for places to run it outside of the SCCA Majors events.

You bet! FEs run in the Big Formula group. Mat Cutter has long run with us, works Safety & Rescue, and at times instructs at our drivers' schools. He currently runs an FE and has a dog named Effie. LOL

Council doesn't recognize FE so you have to run as an Atlantic. We ran twice this year winning FA once. We had to pit for the long race and the FM's (also running as Atlantics) did not.

If we consistently have multiple FEs we'd look at giving you your own class.

Now THAT would be great. How many FEs are there now running regularly?

Default Link to MCSCC Results Page

    Tom,

Here's a link to the Midwestern Council's results page for 2014:

    http://www.mcscc.org/events-results-2014-mc.php

Take a look at any of the "Race" results (not "AutoX"), find the FA class, and look for something like "Van Diemen FE" under Car Description.

As you may already be aware, all but one of Council's wheel-to-wheel formula car events are "singles" in which practice, qualifying, and races are held on one day. The Road America event in August is usually the only double race weekend for wheel-to-wheel formula cars.

Okay, I will check it out. One day events actually would be better for me since I am needing track time to learn this new car for the SCCA Majors competition. Looking forward to meeting the members of the club

Why not run it in the 3 non majors events at Blackhawk, the non Majors event at Road america, and if you are northernly, the 2 non majors events at Brainard?

I second that. BHF will sharpen your reflexes. BIR is newly paved and really smooth. RA is all about speed.

Bonus at BIR. The owner runs an FE. If you can beat him on his home track you'll be ready for the Majors

BRI is a little far for me for tracktime. But I plan to attend RA and BHF whenever possible to learn this car.
