Are there typically test days on the Friday before a Mosport or Shannonville weekend?

Thanks Ray, Greg, and everyone else who has helped get the series going and keeping it going.

Since you have listed the wheel part number, does that mean it has been decided that this will be the only wheel to be used in the series? There was some previous discussion about alternate choices.

Matt yes these are the wheels that the series will be using, you can use your slicks but you will not be eligable for points or prizes we do not want to turn anyone away. We will look at rims options in the future but for now that is the rim with falkan tire. any one out there that have rims and tires for sale please let us know.

    Thanks, Ray.

Sorry if my questions are redundant but I have been willing to stay on the sidelines and let others with more experience and knowledge debate the pros/cons of radials, and just wait to be told what we are running and where to get it. Lower overall cost, even playing field that doesn't allow me to blame my slow times on old tires, no need to carry rain tires all outweigh slightly slower overall times since everyone will be in the same boat and the racing should remain unchanged or better.

    Are we set with the
Falken Azenis RT 615K (195/60R-14) as our "Spec Tire"? Are there "preferred" vendors for this tire (other racers, people who support the sport, etc.)?

I have found that Vulcan Tire had the best prices year to Year on these.

Every so often they will have a sale of 10$ off per tire when you buy 4.

Just checked the sight, they are 78$ per tire, including overstock discount LOL

    Matt,
I may be wrong, but after the last conference call, Dean Curtis was going to look into the possibility of having his tire distributor talk to Falken about some sort of rebate for Challenge Cup drivers. I would hold off on getting the tires until we know what the options might be.

Hi Noel...if I want to test two cars would there be an additional cost and do you have an idea of how much for the test day?

Honestly, it would be best to email them. I don't know if they charge by car or by driver.

I just bought a set to begin testing out here on the west coast. America's Tire (same company as Discount Tire in other parts of the states) matched the Vulcan price of $84 and discounted it further to $80 just for asking.
