The car was like that when I got it. Ex-factory was just the roll hoop near the steering wheel. The extra hoop connecting the shock mounts and the extra tube to the front bulkhead were apparently added to meet the requirements of one of the pro Atlantic series back in 1976/77. Regardless seems a good idea to me. Glad to say in 15 years I never "tested" it

Stunning. It is my opinion the T-460 was hands down, the most beautiful FB car on the planet. If I could, I would in a heartbeat.

Was this car ever yellow and raced by a short guy that lived in Sandusky Ohio?

Steve - sorry for slow reply - I was singing la Marseillaise all day yesterday

To answer your question - No this was not (the late) Chuck Dietrich's yellow car but I did buy quite a lot of spares from him after he sold it to someone else. Pic below when Chuck was still driving it.

I remember one time when Chuck went off the carrousel in the rain at Nelson Ledges in that car and would sitting on top of the tire wall.

I saw it there every lap and kept thinking the car had to be badly hurt.

Wrecked picked it off, set it down on the track and he drove it back to the paddock.

Only damage was cracked fiberglass around one of the pins that secure the nose.

Note that the other front row car is a Lola T460!!
They had amazing success both here and in the UK in 1976.

Looks just the same after all these years, ex Craig Hill T460 he raced in the 76 season. then converted by Hass to the T560. Great car and always finishes at the pointy end !

I had spent many years trying to find the history of this car which I bought ex Texas. I traced it back to Lybarger who until 4 years ago was untraceable, thanks to Apex I final found Lybarger who told me the car was originally Craig Hill' car. again thanks to Apex I found Craig's contact details. I conversed with him for some time as he worked with me to restore the livery on this car to his original or as close as I could. unfortunately by the time the car was finished he had passed. Craig had mentioned that someone was talking with him about a Lotus he used to drive. Small world in this racing car circle. I also had some help from Mark Sproule as he came up with most of the pictures and made a T460 file on his website. I did get one picture from Craig, he didn't collect much of his achievements or pictures during his racing time. anyhow it was a pleasure getting his help restoring his old car
Thanks to Apex for bringing all us racers together !
